Andrew R. Einhorn, PT, MA
Andrew R. Einhorn graduated from Children's Hospital School of Physical Therapy in 1981. He served as both the Assistant and Director at Southern California Center of Sports Medicine for 13 years. In 1992, he and his partner, Michael Mandas, PT formed Einhorn & Mandas Rehab Associates. They opened offices in Los Alamitos and Newport Beach, California. Einhorn has vast experience in Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation. He has devoted over 27 years of experience in the field of sports medicine, with considerable emphasis on high school athletics. For the past 21 years, he has volunteered his services at Pacifica High School as medical director. Einhorn has lectured across the county and has published several professional articles, with primary focus on the knee and shoulder. His professional training and dedication enables him to provide progressive Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Rehabilitation. Einhorn is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Trainers Association. He was named Athletic Trainer of the Year in 1993 and in May of 2004 he was presented the Gary Tuthill Memorial Trainers Award.
 
Michael Mandas, PT
Michael Mandas graduated with honors from California State University, Long Beach in 1979. He worked for a large Medical Center running the outpatient Orthopedic center for fourteen years. In 1993, he joined his partner Andrew R. Einhorn forming Einhorn and Mandas Rehab Associates. Offices include Los Alamitos Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and Newport Physical Therapy. Mandas has spent the bulk of his career developing his orthopedic skills, with special emphasis in spinal rehabilitation. He has recently completed a year-long course in advanced Orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques. He has lectured on topics related to Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has served as a consultant regarding ergonomics and Injury Prevention. Mandas has published articles in his field pertaining to spine and shoulder rehabilitation. His expertise in spinal rehabilitation emphasizes patient education, manual therapy techniques, and aquatic therapy regimens. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Private Practice Section of the APTA.
 
David T. Bradley, MPT
David Bradley received a Bachelors of Science degree from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California in 1990. He completed his Masters Degree from Loma Linda in 1992.

David has been practicing in the field of Orthopedic Physical Therapy since 1992. As a former staff therapist and Director at Southern California Center for Sports Medicine, he treated high school, intercollegiate, and professional athletes over a three-year period.

David is currently the Director of Therapy at the Newport facility, where he continues to specialize in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, with emphasis in Manual Therapy. He recently finished a one-year course, which emphasized the Maitland approach to Manual Therapy and continues to participate in many continuing education courses related to Orthopedic and Sports Therapy.

 
Jim Honda, PT
Jim Honda graduated from California State University Long Beach Physical Therapy Department in 1999. He has been a Physical Therapist at Los Alamitos Orthopeadic and Sports Physical Therapy since 2000. His treatment approach emphasizes biomechanics, therapeutic exercise and manual therapy.

Having competed in several marathons and triathlons since 1989, he understands the importance of biomechanics in sports activities. He has presented lectures on injury prevention to groups of fund-raising runners for both Leukemia Society and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America since 2003. The majority of these runners have successfully completed marathons and half marathons.

He has trained and practiced manual therapy techniques extensively since 2001. Since 2004, he has served as a lab assistant for continuing education classes for physical therapists offered by the Jones Institute. He is bilingual in English and Japanese.

 
Trisha Kato, BS, MS, PT, CPI
Trisha graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology & Physical Education with emphasis in Exercise Science. She received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College Graduate School of Health Sciences in 2002. She completed her clinical rotations at USC University Hospital and Barlow Respiratory Hospital before joining LAOSPT in 2002. Trisha was certified to teach Pilates by the Long Beach Dance Conditioning Advances in Teacher Training program in 2004 and incorporates the Pilates method for rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
 
Laura Siemens MA, PT
Laura Siemens graduated with honors from UCLA with BS in Kinesiology in 1976. She received a Master of Arts degree in physical therapy from Stanford University in 1980. She served as both staff physical therapist and clinical education coordinator for the UCLA Hospital and Clinics Outpatient Rehabilitation department for six years. She has over 25 years of combined orthopedic and sports medicine experience including five years with the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic as a spine specialist. She has lectured and assisted in numerous courses related to orthopedics including the Australian approach to spinal mobilization, spine stabilization training, and office ergonomics and seating. She has just completed a year long course in advanced orthopedic manual therapy and is preparing for the orthopedic specialist certification examination. She is a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.
 
Keith Strother, PT, OCS
Keith Strother graduated from Ithaca College in 1984 and completed his physical therapy training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He worked for Cornell University in Orthopedics/Sports medicine for two years before moving to the west coast. He opened a private office and later became the physical therapist for the UCI athletic department. At this time he completed a one year clinical residency program in manual therapy of the spine (Maitland). Keith became board certified in orthopedics in 2000.

He continued in sports medicine/orthopedics as the physical therapist for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim their inaugural season. Additional affiliations have included physical therapy consulting for the LA Rams, Anaheim Bullfrogs, Splash and provided physical therapy for the Piranhas. Presently, he volunteers medical coverage for several youth Hockey leagues.

 
Stephanie Blakely, PTA
Stephanie Blakely graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. She continued her education at Cerritos College in the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2001. Her introduction into the field of physical therapy started in 1998 at Los Alamitos Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. In 2007, Stephanie completed her Director of Aquatics certification from the United States Water Fitness Association. She has also volunteered her services at Pacifica High School for the women’s softball team. Stephanie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
 
Gilbert Orbeso, PTA, CFI
Gilbert has been working with our company since 1994. He graduated from Cerritos Community College and currently works as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. He has knowledge in Aquatic Therapy, Pilates based exercises and Vestibular Rehabilitation for dizziness and balance disorders. Gilbert also provides one-on-one fitness training for the senior population.

Gilbert’s professional experience’s includes Orthopedics, Sports Physical Therapy, Functional Training, Body Mechanics, Back Stabilization Techniques, Manual Therapy, and Therapeutic/Sports Massage. Gilbert is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the United States Fencing Association.

 
Michael Quinn, BS, PTA
Michael graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 1997. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He has worked for EMB rehab since August of 1995. Michael earned his Physical Therapy Assistant license in June of 2002. At LAOSPT, Michael has and extensive experience in the area of strength and conditioning and has developed sport specific programs for high school, amateur and professional athletes. Michael continues to develop his Manual Therapy techniques which include Strain/Counterstrain through the Jones Institute. In addition, Michael is our Physical Therapy Aide Staff Supervisor.
 
Michael Venegas, PTA, NMT
Mike has been a member of the Los Alamitos staff since 2002. He earned his Massage Therapy certification at the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy in 2004. As a Massage Therapist, Mike is an essential part of our Train 2 Shape Program where he incorporates a variety of manual technique’s which include Therapeutic, Orthopedic and Sports Massage as well as Trigger Point Therapy.

He has also volunteered his massage services at The LA Marathon and MS Ride. He has experience working with athletes at various levels including high school, college and professional. Mike graduated from the Cerritos College Physical Therapist Assistant Program in May 2007. He is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

 
Jamelle Rodarte, Office Manager
Jamelle is the first and most important person you will see in the clinic. She manages our front desk operations. Jamelle has many years of experience in the field of billing, scheduling, and front office procedures. She will assist you in billing your insurance company, reviewing your policy benefits and the collection of your co-payments. She is happy to answer questions in the complicated world of insurance matters.
 
Our Newport Beach Therapy Team
Kathy Bradley, MPT, Pilates Instructor
Kathy received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 1994. Following here graduation she has practiced in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Pilates rehabilitation and Manual Therapy settings focusing on Sports and Spinal Rehabilitation. She received training in Pilates based exercise and was certified in the Aline Conditioning Technique in 2001. She continued her studies in Pilates and received a 2nd Certification as a Practitioner of Pilates Rehabilitation from Polestar Education in 2003. Currently her special interest is a combination of hands on treatment and neuromuscular re-education using Pilates Rehabilitation. In addition to treating patients since the year 2000, Kathy has served as the supervisor of the Newport Physical Therapy Pilates Studio.
 
Fran Wynn, MPT
Fran Wynn received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 1998. She has completed many continuing education courses in the area of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has completed a year long course in the Australian approach to manual therapy. Fran is currently the Director of Physical Therapy at the Newport Facility. She specializes in rehabilitation of joint replacements as well as other orthopedic injuries. Fran enjoys all sports and as a former collegiate athlete, she is able to draw upon her personal experiences when treating sports related injuries.
 
Michelle Holbert
Michelle’s interest in correct body alignment began during ballet classes at Del Mar Academy of Ballet. She studied in Pilates as a client for four years under the teachings of instructors trained from The Pilates Studio®, New York. Michelle completed her Pilates certification in 2002 from Marie Jose at Long Beach Dance Conditioning. Michelle has served as an employee of Newport Physical Therapy both as a physical therapy aide and Pilates instructor since 2002. Her gentle compassionate nature creates a positive environment for patients and clients to achieve their goals.
 
Tamara Stone
Tamara graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1996. She received her Pilates training from renowned Pilates teacher trainer Marie Jose at Long Beach Dance Conditioning. Tamara has been an employee of Newport Physical Therapy serving as a physical therapy aide and Pilates instructor since 2005. With special interest in Pilates rehabilitation she has been committed to sharing her knowledge with others since recovering from her own injuries. Her experiences give Tamara a sense of empathy of the process of strengthening and recovery as well as an awareness of the importance of mind-body connection with reeducating the body for optimal performance in movement.
 
Kelly Saxon
Kelly graduated with honors from California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelors Degree in Dance. She is a certified Body Arts and Science International Pilates Trainer. She trained in Pilates under Rael Isacowitz and Karen Clippenger. In addition to Pilates, Kelly has been involved with dance for 19 years. Primarily, Kelly is trained in ballet from Ahita Ardaland of the Paris Opera Ballet and Erling Sunde a master teacher of the Royal Ballet in London. She has studied the Cecchetti Theory of Ballet and passed levels I-V. Kelly has also studied jazz and modern dance. Kelly has been an employee of Newport Physical Therapy since 2005 as a Pilates instructor.
